If fed via a 200G QSFP-DD port connection, it will then interface with two 100G QSFP28 ports. Likewise, when fed via a 400G QSFP-DD port connection, it will interface with two 200G QSFP56 ports. The cable’s EEPROM will automatically negotiate the appropriate port throughput and modulation protocols (NRZ or PAM4) alongside any multi-plexing and de-multi-plexing required with the connected hardware, promoting a trouble-free installation process.
