The Dual channel SFP-DD interface features the same compact profile as the popular 10-Gigabit SFP+ interface standard and 25-Gigabit SFP28 standard, but has been upgraded internally with extra high-speed TX/RX pins to support double data rates for 50G Ethernet (56.10 Gbps throughput with NRZ modulation) and future 100G Ethernet (112.2 Gbps throughput with PAM4 modulation) applications and future standards TBD.
