50 Ohm Coaxial Cables: 50-Ohm Coaxial Cables are the predominant interconnect technology used in the design, manufacture and testing of RF (Radio Frequency) electronic devices and systems, such as mobile, broadband, commercial communications, broadcasting and amateur radio. 50-Ohm coax is preferable whenever high-power handling capacity is paramount, making it preferable in RF signal transmission.

75 Ohm Coaxial Cables: 75-Ohm Coaxial Cables are preferable in cases where maintenance of RF signal integrity over long distances with reduced insertion losses are paramount. This makes 75-Ohm coax the coaxial cable of choice for low-power applications primarily on the receiving end of RF communications, such as in cable and satellite TV, terrestrial radio and TV (via antenna), broadcast production and GPS navigation.

D-Subminiature (D-Sub): Available in both connector and cable assembly form, our vast collection of d-sub products are frequently used in the interface I/O of test equipment peripheral devices with computer systems. These interfaces typically transmit raw test and telemetry data via the RS-232 serial data protocol, or some derivative thereof. Available in all form-factors from 9-position (DB9) thru 78-position (HD78).

GPIB (IEEE-488) Cables: The GPIB interface is a d-sub style interface that uses a miniature Centronics (PC-Board) form of contacts in lieu of traditional pins and sockets, all in a unique daisy-chain capable feed-thru design. Originally invented by Hewlett Packard for use on “HPIB” test equipment, the IEEE eventually ratified an open-source platform under IEEE-488 called “GPIB” for use in test equipment by other manufacturers.

Loopback Adapters & Modules: Loopback adapters and modules are used by IT and Network Engineering professionals to test the functionality (transmit and receive) of individual ports on a host-bus adapter, network switch, router, server, server rack or storage array. We offer both traditional Fiber Optic Loopback Adapter Cables as well as High-Speed Loopback Modules in SFP, QSFP and OSFP-type form-factors.

Nick "The Cable Guy" Blas has enjoyed a fulfilling career as Amphenol Cables on Demand's exclusive Product Manager and resident tech expert, having worked for the company just months after its debut launch in December of 2006. Prior to Amphenol, Mr. Blas worked for another interconnect giant, Deutsch Connectors (Now Tyco), in their Defense and Aerospace division as their youngest Program Manager at just 25. While in college for Electrical Engineering and Business Administration/Information Management at UC Riverside and Cal State San Bernardino, Mr. Blas excelled in retail marketing management and sales for Canon USA and Hewlett Packard, both in their printer and imaging business units. Mr. Blas has been a self-professed "tech nerd" since age 10, with a particular fascination with radio and broadcast communications and antenna systems, which led to his grant work for TRW, where he created an entire lab course on antenna engineering concepts at age 19 as a Sophomore (the class was subsequently instructed to Junior class Engineering students in multiple University of California Schools). Mr. Blas earned his Executive MBA at California State University, Monterey in 2012, graduating with honors. He and his wife, Shelly and son, Ethan, currently reside in the stunning Ozark mountains, just outside of Bentonville, Arkansas (home of the world's largest company, Wal-Mart).
